"Can you bring these bags to my cab?" I pointed my bags to the maid.

"Sure mam", she said and brought all of my necessities to the cab which was waiting outside. I’m kind of happy as well as a bit nervous, but it still feels like an adventure.

From the moment I came here he has been too caring. He has been too caring for me to think anything else about them but now it is a bit different. It is a bit different that it started tingling my body with excitement.

"Ok i ’m sending a car for you. Be there", he said while in just less than fifteen minutes a car came to pick me up at my hotel. Today was my day off because the actual work is going to get done tomorrow.

I thought of calling him to inform yeah i have reached but I thought of acting and waiting for him to call me but I never realized waiting for him to call me made me so freaking sleepy and when I got up from my bed and checked the time it was morning seven o clock. I hurried to my phone in case he called but I didn’t get to hear but to my disappointment there were no calls from him but it was a message from my colleagues to inform me that the meeting is going to take place at eleven o’clock so i have to reach there before ten thirty.

I slapped myself and prepared myself to look fresh still my feelings were roaming his thoughts. Some of my feelings were telling me it is ok. Some of my feelings were telling me it is only my mood swings which happened because of pregnancy and some of my feelings warning me for no reason.

"Am I being skeptical?" I asked looking in the mirror but got no answer.

I again ignored my thoughts and got ready for office. I already ordered my breakfast calling room service which was maple syrup pancakes and milkshakes which were too sweet as i like . Still my spicy cravings were not stopping.

"I think i will eat some indian dishes for lunch", i muttered to myself and went outside.

My office already sent me a car which was again a time saved work for me. But as i reached there all came to me and gave me a hug. I know I never came here but I didn’t know it all like me so freaking much, making my eyes teary.

"Chloe, you finally decided to return here?" a girl asked. I actually am so bad with names so i don’t remember quite as well.

"She didn’t return. Can’t you see how she is? She is pregnant but there are some errors in the files which were prepared for the meetings so she has to come in emergency", one of the guys from behind answered for me.

"Thanks", I muttered looking at him.

He didn’t say but smiled and left.

I soon entered the meeting room where everything was set but I just had to do my work in less than fifteen minutes. There were some inking errors in the files while there are some parts where my equations were messed up. I don’t know why but yeah it sure needed to come here. I don’t think I will be able to figure it out if they send me at home.

"Chloe, you are a huge help to us", my boss sighed in relief but i can’t say how much it angered me when he said in a rude tone that i had to come.

"It is ok,’’ I said.

I tried to sneak from there but again my colleagues surrounded me and said, "Where are you going?"

"I have to catch my flight." I know I thought it would take two days but if my work here is done then I should check out now in an early flight.

"No you can’t", they stopped me.

"Why?"

"Because Christmas is just around the corner and now that you finally came here we just can’t let you go like this." they said.

"But you can see my situation right?"

"Yeah we do that is what I’m saying. Just be with us now and go home tomorrow or I will book tickets for your night plane which you decided before." that girl said.

Yeah I do think of returning at night and as I said James I will be in two days and this is the second day so i ’m sure he will come fetch me. I started giggling on my own with happiness building inside me but I didn’t explain much.

"Oh ok", i agreed.

As the office hours ended they took me to a nearby pub. Everywhere I roam my eyes I can see wine, beer, shots, whisky glasses clashing with each other making me want to have too but they didn’t let me. They stopped me as if I was a kid.

I sulked in front of them but they handed me a bottle of orange juice as if they were teasing me.

"No, Chloe. We can’t take the chance handing you over a beer can."

"What if you get completely wasted and something happens to you? You think your husband will let us live? So no one going to take the chance.`` She repeated the same but I felt empty. Still I kept on checking my hand watch. Clock ticking but I saw no sign of him in the place I was waiting. I checked my phone but there were zero calls.

"Ok Chloe we are leaving. We have got you a cab so you go safely. Let’s meet again some other time after your delivery", she said and left.

I could see the cab in front of me but I didn’t take it.

"Are you taking or not?" the driver asked.

"No, you can leave. Someone is coming to pick me up", I said while he left.

I checked my clock again but this time it is already eight. Cold breeze started making my body feel cold as ice but I still waited. Snow started falling so much making me unable to move my finger.

I again checked the time and this time it was already ten. I lose all my hope.

"He didn’t came."

"He never intended to come."

I kept on muttering to myself when an old lady came from the same pub and asked me, "The snow is falling too much so stay here for tonight and you can leave the next morning."

She insisted a lot. I ended up taking a room there that night. But the disappointing feelings never took the name to make me feel hurt. The entire night I kept on checking my phone again and again and again but there were not a single fake call as well but it was so blank making me think as if my phone broke.

Next morning

"Thanks for letting me stay here last night", I said.

"It is ok. I saw you are going to freeze so I invited you in. too much cold is not good for your body nor your baby so you should take care", she advised me like my dad which made me smile and hug her like a relative.

After doing all the work I took my morning flight and landed in my place.

My facial expressions changed that moment I crossed the entrance and entered my house while I saw James sitting on the couch sipping his coffee as if nothing happened.

"Chloe, you have returned?"

"Let me take your suitcase." he tried to take but i slid my hands to the other side.

"Eli, take my bags to my room", I said and started walking toward my room. He again came from behind and asked, "What happened? Did something happen to you? Are you feeling sick? Should we go to the hospital?" here he goes with all the conversation which he didn’t do for two days. He didn’t even bother to message me if I reached or not.

"Chloe", he placed his hand on my shoulder.

"Don’t. touch. Me", i glared right into him which made him lose his grip on me.
