"I’m home"

I went inside when I found Jennifer and Kylie in a corner, staring at each other’s faces.

"What got into you?" I asked while removing my shoe when my eye fell on the couch, making me even angrier than I was.

"Ayla", they called my name, but it was damn slow.

"Why are you all here?" I asked without even looking at them. It was none other than my parents.

Mom, dad, brother and the other one are none other than my cousin.

"Ayla, is this a way to talk to your parents?" brother raises his voice just as usual.

"Didn’t I say I don’t know you? Then why are you interfering in my business? Do what you want? I’m not stopping you? Why are you poking your nose into my family matter? Did I call you or do you think if you come with my dad, you will be my family member?" I said nonstop.

My anger is still burning even after so freaking long.

"Ayla!!!!" he screamed again.

"Jenny, I don’t know these people, so show them the exit except my dad, ok?" I said and was about to walk away from my room when someone held my hand, making me look.

"Dad, what are you doing?" I asked.

"Baby, can’t you let it go for this once?" he sounds gentle as usual.

"Why?"

"Is today something special?" I asked while thinking.

"Yeah it is", he replied when I said, "Oh is it my death anniversary?"

The entire pace froze hearing the sentence, but it didn’t seem as if I said anything wrong when Ayla had died once before.

"Ayla, what are you saying?" Dad said in a sad tone.

"What? Everything that I said is true", I said and again tried to walk away when he stopped me again.

"Did something happen?" he asked.

"What happened? like what?" I asked.

"Anything?"

"Yeah, it happened. You’re this son. Keep coming here or sending gifts making me remember everything that he did to me, so tell him not to bother me then I will be very happy", I smiled.

"Ayla, I’m your brother", Jace shouted again.

"Yeah brother who told his friend to pretend to be my boyfriend because for him my heart was a playground where he could apply all those tricks which he couldn’t do to himself", I said looking straight into his eyes.

"Ayla, it’s all in the past", his voice was low.

"Past? Ha ha, is it really in the past?"

"But why is everything so freaking clear in front of my eyes as if it happened just yesterday?" I said.

Again everyone becomes silent.

I don’t even have an idea what to do. Each time I saw them everything became clear as if I stood right in the middle of the hall and everyone kept surrounding me while I was looking down as if I was the guilty one.

I keep remembering how James kissed her which I was least expecting. I never explained very well what I saw but I still remember how both were clenching their hair as if they were about to make out right there if it weren’t a public place.

I slapped myself like a crazy person when dad held my hand.

"What are you doing?" he asked, holding my hand.

"If I had any idea about your situation I would have never sent you here to leave you alone when you are not even mentally stable", his words stunned me.

"Dad"

"Could you repeat what you just said?" I asked him while moving his feet backwards.

"Ah it is...." he stopped.

"Yeah, you think I’m crazy?" I walked nearer to him.

"It is not", he said looking away from me.

"No dad you just if you would have any idea about my situation then you would have never left me here alone as for you I m mentally in stable right?" I kept asking.

"It is not. Don’t trust words", dad again said with a slight bit of his raised voice.

"No dad, it is you who keep twisting my words, not me."

"It is you who brought about my mental stability when you know the reason very well. I can’t believe you behave like this for them when you know the entire thing very well", I kept saying without taking a break.

I could see Mom, Jace and my cousin too tried to move their feet toward me but I backed off.

"You know what? I will just stay out of all of you. It is best of all", I said and started moving toward my room when a random hand held my wrist making me turn toward her.

"Ayla, listen to me", woah I can’t believe she came to me.

"Let me explain my side for once", she sounded as if she was begging but why doesn’t it affect me.

"I have been trying to explain what happened that day for so long but you left home the other day so I didn’t have time to explain itself."

"I don’t know how to get in touch with you so I was silent till now but I hope this time you will listen to me. I beg you I will accept whatever you will say or do after that so please just once", she said but when I was about to touch her I felt as if her body was moving far from me making me freeze in place.

"Yona!!!!" their voices were so loud.

Their looks are intimidating.

My entire body is shivering, giving me another trauma.

How did it happen?

"I didn’t do anything", my voice shut while I saw the glare of Jace.

"What have you done Ayla?" he said.

"It’s ok if you get angry with us."

"It’s ok if you hate us."

"It’s ok if you don’t talk to us but do you have to push Yona like this? I didn’t expect this from you."

His looks pierce through my heart as if he kept on clenching my heart making me bleed even more than before but now it is not stopping. It is hurting me a lot. I want to scream please don’t say it like this but my voice is not coming out.

I kept seeing them going far from me while I kept extending my hand to hold on to them but my eyes closed while I was nowhere to see anyone. Not anyone could feel my pain any longer.

I opened my eyes but I found myself in a dark cold place. My entire body kept on freezing.

"Hello"

"Where am I ?"

"Anyone here?"

I kept on calling but I didn’t know I could end up in a similar place which I saw in my dream long ago.

But my feet didn’t move but I felt as if someone kept on holding the surface under my feet while the same thing continued and I saw Jace with a girl who I have no idea who she is.

I tried to call out his name but the voice didn’t come out as if someone kept on choking me.

I decided to wait there and hear the conversation but I could hear nothing but soon I saw them holding which made me hide. But why?

I kept holding myself behind a tree when all of sudden Jace appeared out of nowhere scaring the shit out of me.

"So you are hiding behind this?"

"Did you think I wouldn’t be able to see you, my dear sister?"

"So bad."

He sounded mean.

"Oh, Jace, who are you even asking this? Ayla? You sure?"

"Don’t you know how dumb she is? She couldn’t even solve a kid’s math issue and you are asking her how she choose this dumb place to hide? I will say you are too lame to ask that", she said.

As she finished her sentence both started to laugh at me while I kept on looking at them.

"Dumb Ayla", they laugh again.

I kept holding both my ears so that I won’t have to listen to them but nothing is working. The laugh got even louder from the start.

"Stop it!!!"

"Stop all of this conversation!!"

"I m not dumb!!!"

I kept on shouting but they didn’t stop. Their faces turned weird looking like some kind of demon laughing at me .

"Brother stop it!!!" I shouted.

"Brother? Who is your brother? I don’t have a sister like you", he said and looked at the other side of me extending his hand.

"Look she is my sister...Yona", he said, bringing her to me.

"Yeah, this type of girl could be my sister. Who is beautiful, who has a brain, who knows how to utilize her brain but not like you dumb Ayla", his words kept on piercing me.

"Oh Ayla, sorry for ruining your life", Yona said to me.

I couldn’t believe she is the one who said she wanted to explain when this Yona has a weird smile on her face which is enough to creep me.
