Who’s calling me?

Everything is dark around me. I couldn’t even see a thing around me or I could let out my voice.

"Baby, open your eyes!!"

"I’m here", a gentle voice kept on calling me while I still had no idea what was going on around me.

I slowly opened my eyes and looked at the person. But his face is so shiny making me unable to look at him.

"Who are you?" I asked in a low tone.

"Ayla, it’s me!!! You forgot about me?" He gently caressed my hair.

"You?" I’m still confused.

"Yeah it’s me." he again said while he gently pulled me toward him.

His heart kept on beat8ng loud making me feel restless but still, it was calming as well.

"You know how long it has been since I saw you, my little Ayla", he kept on saying.

"I can’t express just how freaking much I’m in love with you but you never looked at me like you saw James. Am I that bad for you?" His voice sounds sad, making my heart ache.

"Who are you? Why can’t I remember you?" I said.

"It’s ok if you don’t still listen to me. Let me love you the way I want even though you are never going to respond to my feelings. I still want to love you like no tomorrow", he said gently kissing my cheek.

I opened my eyes and kept on searching for him like a crazy maniac. I now know who it was. Aaron, yeah it’s him. It’s him who came to me and loved me just like he confessed his love to me years ago.

His voice didn’t change but I feel as if I heard the same voice somewhere else but I couldn’t seem to remember.

Someone kept on calling my name, waking me up from my nightmare as well as a sweet dream.

"Ayla, you again scared the hell out of us", Jennifer said.

"Yeah, you know how much we were scared when you closed your eyes while you were standing on the verge of falling from so high", Kylie explained while my mind still is in a mess.

"Did anyone come for me?" I asked.

"Come for you? I don’t think so", Jenny replied while looking toward Kylie.

"But if you are asking about your parents then yeah they didn’t come but left with their girl who fell from up but don’t worry we believe you," Kylie explained.

"Yeah we believe you didn’t push her no matter how angry you are", they kept on trying to make me calm but if that’s it then yeah it is working.

"It’s ok", I replied in a low tone and got ready to leave for the hospital.

I quickly let out my jacket from the closet and walked downstairs when I kept on imagining how she fell from so up. It is again another trauma for me and it kept on eating me from inside still I endured.

"You sure? You want to go there?" both of them asked.

"Yeah I do", I said and ran outside.

My body kept on freezing because of the cold but still, I picked a cab and went toward the nearby hospital where they admitted Yona.

"Am I going to be ok?" I thought.

"Can I pull this up?" I asked myself but I got no answer.

"Ma’am we reach", the driver said, making me snap out of my thoughts.

"Thanks", I said and ran inside.

My entire body kept on shivering from the thought of confronting them but why I’m I even shivering when I did nothing. Why am I even trying to make myself good when I did nothing? Why why why?

I gathered my courage and went inside her room where my eye first fell on Jace.

"Did you come to see if she died or not?"

His words are hell harsh.

"I didn’t push her", I said in a calm tone.

"You didn’t push her? Then what was that what we saw? Do you think all of us are blind? We can’t see and you can make it up whatever you want? Is this you want to say?" he said.

"I’m not saying anyone is blind nor am I accepting the fact that I pushed her. You know very well I don’t lie then how could you say this to me?" I said.

"Oh yeah, I forgot you are the maiden of truth and we are all after lies right?" I felt an ache.

"Brother!!!!" my voice went high.

"Brother? Woah!! Did you just call me brother when a few minutes ago you kept on denying we are not family? And all of sudden I became your brother because I told the truth and you want me to manipulate me?"

"Stop lying, Ayla!!! If you agree with the truth we will forgive you but if you don’t I will forget I had a sister", I froze.

I waited for him to change his words.

"Yeah, you heard me right? If you are going to accept the truth then I will forgive you or from now on we don’t have any relationship. You and I will part our way", he said, making me stand like a statue.

"Brother", I said in a low tone.

"No I was your brother but not anymore", he snatched my hand when I tried to touch him.

"From now on Yona is my only sister not you", he said, making me remember my dream.

"I want a sister who knows how to use her brain and that someone is not you but Yona. She can be my only sister not you", that sentence kept on roaming in my mind making me fall to the floor.

"Jace stop it", dad said in his voice when a nurse came.

"Please stop making noises in front of the patient", she said while I wanted to leave but someone held my hand.

"Ayla", Yona looked at me.

"Yona, why are you stopping her?" Jace Said.

"Could you please go out? I want to talk with her", Yona said, making Jace frown.

"You know it is dangerous’ ’, Woah I can’t believe he trusts her more than me.

"I will be ok", as she said all went outside making me be with her alone.

Everything was silent as if again something was going to happen with me.

"So?" she said.

"So?"

"You know that I didn’t push you right?" I said without twisting my words.

"Yeah I know", she said.

"Then why didn’t you say that when they were presented here?" I said.

"Because I don’t want to", she was too straightforward.

"Yeah secret which will break you even more than you are", she said.

"You know the day when you started in front of everyone that I kissed James I was the one who was more humiliated than anyone even without doing anything."

"I knew he was not your boyfriend but still everyone blamed me as I broke your relationship with him and I became the worst person in front of Uncle, aunt and Jace. I lose all trust because of you", she said.

"But isn’t it what you deserve?" I said.

"Ha ha little Ayla you are so naive", she laughed.

"Yeah, you are. Because you don’t know that your entire family is just pitting you and nothing else", she said, making me feel chills all over my body.

"Yeah pity because you are not their real daughter", her one word made me burst into tears.
