"Aaron"

"Wake up!!"

"Aaron, it’s urgent", I heard someone calling.

I rubbed my eyes and opened my eyes when I found James shaking me.

"What happened?"

"Why are you in my room?" I asked.

"Dad, called for all of us", he said.

Did I hear it wrong?

Dad is calling me? Really? No it must be his mistake.

"He must be calling for you and others, not me. So you should hurry", I said and about to go to sleep but he stopped me again.

"No this time he clearly mentioned you also come with me", he pulled me with him downstairs where I can see grandfather is present too out of nowhere. I don’t know why he kept coming here when I said I want revenge from anyone sacrificing my life when I already sacrificed enough.

Still I stayed calm and waited to hear the reason.

"So when all of you come here I would like to announce something", he said.

Announcement? What kind of announcement? Is it about being an heir? I don’t know but why am I here when I know James will take the place for sure.

I was about to leave the place again when he said, "Aaron will be the new CEO of the company."

"This is the last thing I ever do this to make up for my sins", he said and left the place while James’s hand placed on my shoulder making me gasp.

"It’s already been more than four years. Do you think she is even alive after a year of missing people declared as dead." he said, making me have the feeling of choking him.

"Aaron, come out of your senses and forget her already", he kept on saying.

"No, I will never stop searching for her."

"She has to be with me even if she doesn’t wish to. I will not make the same mistake of pushing her away from me ever. I will never repeat my past mistakes. I will never ever", I said while looking out of the outside world through the glass wall of my cabin.

"Aaron, get your mind straight. It’s obviously your obsession. Just forget about her already. And I believe she is dead!!!" as he said my hand was holding his collar pinning him to the glass.

"You just said obsession? Then what are you doing? Aren’t you just like me? Aren’t you obsessed over Chloe? Aren’t you monopolizing her whenever she talks to me? Aren’t you the one who pulled her to your freaking bedroom when she was done talking to me when I once heard that day will be the last one?

I loosen my grip on the shirt while he looked down.

I never wanted to mention this but now this has become a habit when I see Chloe going to his room every night even though everyone knows she is my fiance. I don’t mind as I know about them but I don’t want anyone to lecture me over something he is doing himself.

"Stop coming to stop my way. I will do everything I can as long as it is in my control. And I agreed to be the heir because this is the way I can find her even if she is hiding in a corner of this world."

I said while I found Chloe standing near the door.

She still has the same guilt she had years ago.

Chloe took him out of my room while I again lost in my thoughts.

It’s already been a year since I sent people to search for her but no one found anything. Not even a single person succeeded in finding her.

"Mr. White", I called out Ayla’s father.

"Aaron? What are you doing here?" he asked

"Did she contact me?" I asked.

It’s been years since I keep coming here to ask about her but they always look away but never tell me. I’m sure they know something but why not tell me? Why? I want to know about it as well.

"Uncle", a little boy came and held my leg.

"Ah who’s this?", I asked.

Gosh I can’t even best to hold him just how little he is and so light just like a feather.

"He is my son", Jace replied which made me wonder if Ayla would be here I’m sure there will be a baby with us as well but now she is not here so as well the thought will always be as a thought.

"Josh, go inside and play with mom", Jace sent him inside while I was still figuring out the situation.

I asked.

"I have been going crazy for years to find her and you all know but kept on hiding me as you all know nothing. Do I look like a joke to you? Ha, do I?" my voice sounded cold.

Still no one answered as Ayla really has the upper hand controlling them and I can’t no matter what I do.

All looked away from me which made me leave the place.

I went there again after a few days.

"Let me see her please", again the same reaction.

I was about to leave the place when Mr. White stopped me.

"I will let her come back", he said, making my eyes light up.

"Dad, don’t do this!!!" Jace shouted but again no one listened to him.

"Dad, Ayoa won’t forgive you if she knows."

"She came back", I talked with Mr. White over call.

He took a break and said no.

Something feels off.

"When she is coming then?" I asked.

"She refused to come", his voice sounded odd.

"Oh is it?"

"Yeah", I hung up on him.

"James, let’s go White mansion", I said while he looked at me with disbelief.

"Why all of sudden? When you just talked to him?"

"I didn’t think he was telling me the truth so let’s go check", I said and we drove toward their mansion.

It took us time to reach there but my heart kept on thumping loudly as if something was surely happening to me. I know she is there and I can’t wait to see her and get hold of her.

I want to tie her up so that she never leaves me.

I want to monopolize her.

"Aaron, we have reached", James said while I ran inside.

My heart gave me weird feelings until I opened the main door and saw her right in front of me. But that look was not what I was expecting but she had fear in her eyes. I can feel her entire body trembling seeing my right as well a hint of hatred filled for me.

"Ayla"

I called out her name but she ran toward a particular room mumbling something which I couldn’t hear. She kept on mumbling as if it’s a chant for her.

I ran after her.

It feels as if we are doing hide and seek.

Not me but basically all of us ran after her but before I could hold her she locked into the room.
