He wasn’t in a rush but waited quietly.

She finally turned and began walking towards the villa, but after taking two steps, she retraced her footsteps. "It feels nice to stand up for someone," she said slowly in a gentle tone.

Her lips curled upwards, satisfaction beaming through her smile and a hint of shyness peeking through. When she was about to leave, a man’s arms wrapped around her, and she rested her head on his chest, taking in his warm scent.

In a whisper, he said, "I’ve finally waited for this day."

She was startled. "Waiting for what?"

"Waiting for you to fall in love with me."

The smile on Chloe’s face deepened. Hugging him tightly, the high wall that had always been in her heart finally disappeared. Her heart gradually began to lean towards him.
