Chapter 212: Do You Want A Taste?

Aiko and Faris awkwardly stared at the couple’s bed they had been given to share. It had one duvet, although it seemed quite large but they needed to share.

"Umm! I can sleep on the floor in my wolf form. You take the bed." Faris turned to face her with a small, awkward smile gracing his lips as he rubbed the back of his head.

Desires purred inside her like a cat. Even if nothing was to happen between them, she still wished for her mate’s proximity. The fox inside her was restless from the moment they had entered the room alone. Faris’s mouthwatering scent always stirred unfulfilled desires in her.

"No, we are adults, we can both sleep in the bed. It will be fine."

Pulling out of his thoughts he took off his cloak and hung it on the hook too. Fishing out the small wine bottle they had stolen earlier he brought it along. He took off his shoes and then the flannel shirt and casually dropped it on the chair along with Aiko’s clothes.

Going around the bed, he also slipped under the thick quilt and tried not to stare at her naked stretched-out legs as she tried to avoid staring at his well-built chest. He wasn’t overly muscular like his brother but his lean body was very well proportioned.

She quickly extracted her hand although it wished to linger.

"From the moment I awakened my powers, I stole from them. I never bought alcohol, took it from those assholes, because why not." She bit her lip, hoping her words wouldn’t be off-putting for him. He took a large gulp and swiped his wet lips with the back of his hand.

"I understand you but promise you will always take me with you, whenever you decide to go on such excursions. Can you do that?" He turned his head so he could watch his beautiful mate.

She possessed the darkest shade of ebony hair he had ever seen. Like the endless night had taken residence on her head. How he wished to decorate them with colourful ribbons.

"I promise." She quickly moved her head up and down. Faris extended the bottle towards her again.

"I will be your crime partner against these filthy rich from now on," Faris proudly declared, making her smile deepen. Their fox spirits danced in ecstasy, the mischief danced in their eyes and the thrill of being chased or almost getting caught excited them.

Their drinking continued, and soon, both of them were tipsy.

Aiko’s cheeks warmed and burnt, her senses were pretty heady now. All she could think about were his veined hands sliding on her bare thighs.

"So what did you think of me when you first found me?" Faris asked; his fire-shaded orbs had this hint of excitement in them.

She hesitated for a second, the pink hue on her cheeks and tips of her ears deepened to bright red.

"That you are the most handsome man in the world." She placed her hand in front of her mouth and slowly giggled.

Faris’s foot moved and his toes playfully touched hers as he asked.

"Really?"

A current seemed to have run through Aiko’s body from his simple touch, and her toes rubbed against his.

"Yes! You were so different from vampires and half-breeds in Volsra. And you were mine but I couldn’t even go to you." Her tone saddened as she remembered how she had to restrain herself.

Faris was quick to reach out under the duvet and grabbed her hand bringing it to his bare chest. He placed it on his rapidly beating heart, letting her palm feel the thumping inside.

Aiko snatched a breath at the contact and tilted her body so she would face him. Not only her cheeks but her whole face burnt now. His skin was warm and smooth, the one she wished to rub her hand all over. She had been with numerous men before but no one’s touch made her feel as alive as her mate’s.

"I am yours now." He said quietly, keeping her hand pressed on his heart until she gathered the courage to lift her wanton eyes and stare at him.

And then her shy gaze dropped to his lips.
