Chapter 230: Alias

Ryu went to the Field Marshal’s house the next morning. They have to speed up their actions now and Field Marshal is their strongest point right now.

Ryu stood up when he saw The field Marshal coming and greeted him, "Good Morning Sir."

"Good morning. How are you kid? Take your seat. Your grandpa met me and told everything yesterday... I insisted not to involve you as much as possible since I have got enough men for the job..." said Field Marshal Chan as he gestured Ryu to sit down.

"I’m good Sir. Thanks. It’s our family’s fight so it’s just right for me to get involved. I’m actually indebted to you since you are willing to help us with my brother’s case." Ryu answered politely.

"Nah. You know that my debt to your grandfather is so huge that I’m afraid I won’t be able to repay it in this lifetime." exclaimed Field Marshal Chan in a jest.

"Oh... but grandpa said he owed so many debts to you." Ryu murmured with furrowed eyebrows.

"Then tell your grandpa that we’ll count each other’s debts and see how much balance is still there for each of us..." Field Marshall answered with a jest and laughed

Then he continued, "Your grandpa wants me to stay quiet for some time and not let the people know we are close to protect my image... I kept saying it was nothing because he was already a clean man now but he insisted to keep our good friendship and deep connection a secret."

"He never changed his attitude until now since the time I have known him. He came here yesterday without announcement and suddenly told me straightforwardly: -Help me bring down one of the most notorious person in the underworld, who did a lot of illegal things and had committed a lot of murders!- and I was like hey friend tell me how are you first or at least ask me how am I doing? Then I knew right away that it’s very urgent and might involve his family..." Field Marshall paused and looked at Ryu intensely without blinking...

"Whatever your grandpa asks of me, I will do it and make sure not to let him down because I owe him my life. Once I was held captive at the underworld and was about to be killed by them... It was Rigs who helped and saved me, putting his life on the line... that day he didn’t care about his life for my sake, today I will do whatever I can to help you all. It’s like hitting two birds with one stone kid. Paying my debt and serving my country rightfully... So don’t ever say you’re indebted to me. I will track and bring down the gangs that are operating behind the Skull and helping him in his underworld dealings, and definitely keep Shawn out of it by all means. All the details provided by Rigs are enough for my men to track down the gangs dealing with drugs and illegal arms. They are already on our radar now and very soon will be nabbed down. So now stop worrying son and get ready for the action. Wow! just the thought of it is making my blood boil in excitement."

While Ryu and Field Marshal were talking, someone knocked at the door of the meeting room. It was one of Field Marshal Chan’s bodyguards saying, "Sir, the boys are here."

Field Marshal nodded and said, "Alright, let them in..."

It was a secret task force assigned to help Ryu in bringing down Old Man Skull. They will join the underworld through Ryu’s connections as they were disguised with a different identity to avoid any suspicions.

"They are the best among my team and very capable in collecting information and are the best shooters as well. I’m confident that this task will be a success." Field Marshal Chan proudly declared.

Ryu nodded and introduced himself to them.

The leader of the team was called ’Wolf’ and Ryu should only call them with their alias.

"Sir, we need your alias as well and do get a terrifying one since you’ll be our Boss." said wolf with a grin.

Then, they discussed the plan and the target time to execute and finish up everything.

"You think we can accomplish this in 20 to 25 days at maximum?" Ryu asked with hesitation.

"Hey tough up man. Yes we will do our best on it and do your part without fail. By the way you look familiar? Are you close to Field Marshal’s daughter?" asked Wolf simply as he stared at him.

Ryu nodded unconsciously but then with confused look said, "Huh?"

Wolf’s face became serious and said, "Nevermind... Here’s the information on the current Bosses and people with power in the underworld make sure you study their profile well. Because soon you will need to meet each one of them since they are the ones involved with Old Man Skull and your brother. Most of them are high profile people and difficult to put a hand on them or to take them down but we are working on it already."

Ryu accepted the tab from Wolf and was shocked to see the names involved in the drug trafficking and a lot more illegal dealings... because he knew some of them.

He sighed with relief that at least no one among them were involved and had dealings with their company, although some did offer but were turned down by his grandfather. Now he understood that even though they had better offers, his grandfather chose another company because his grandpa might have known those people were doing illegal things without coming into the knowledge of the public and authorities.

The business world was truly scary... You never know people in this world, who is clean or who got dirt under their sleeves, especially in their world where money was involved...

Ryu was disappointed with the way things work in the business world and was eager to help in bringing down these bastards... The bastards who were polluting their society.
