Chapter 55: Chapter 55 - Just a phone call away

We entered Ryan’s home, and I went directly to the kitchen. Fighting always makes me hungry... {psstt.. who are you fooling? You are hungry 24*7, and from when you started thinking that kicking someone in the face is a fight?} ... I rolled my eyes at my conscience and opened the fridge. My eyes instantly landed on the chocolate lying there... {that’s not a good idea, Aadhya}... What? I took the chocolate and gave some to Dee, who was following me silently with so much guilt written on his face. "I also lied to my parents and gramma about many things, but this doesn’t mean that their love got any less" I tried to make him understand, and he turned towards me.

"So, you are not mad at me," he asked me.

"Where are you?" he asked me, and I couldn’t help but smile at his awkwardness... {why didn’t he feel awkward when he kissed me in the morning... yeah that was a forehead kiss but still}

"How’s Diego?" he asked, and Dee looked at me on this... {it seemed like his senses also started developing}.

’’He is good. Although he would like to talk with you once you come home," I told him.

"Ok, I talked with uncle. He said that there is nothing to worry about right now, but we need to be prepared for the time when his wolf will take full control of him. You also know that he will transform earlier than a normal werewolf, right?" he asked me, and I hummed in response. Dee again encircled his arms around me and hugged me tighter, and sniffled a little "Did you scold him?" he asked me.

"Nope. I just had a little chat with him"

"Fine", he got silent after this, and I also didn’t know what to say, "I informed reed that you will be absent for training for a few days," he said after a few minutes.

"No," I instantly stood up, and my head hit the bed while my other hand covered Dee’s head, so thankfully, he was alright... "Owww", I groaned in pain and put my hand on my forehead.

"Stay where you are", I shouted, and the shuffling stopped from another side. I again put the phone to my ear. "I was lying under the bed and got up suddenly", I explained, and for a few seconds, he was silent, but he started laughing like a mad man within seconds. "What a heartless and rude man you are? Tell Reed that I will join the training from tomorrow. Bye," I cut the call and found Dee giggling silently ’’What made you laugh so hard, dee?" I asked him, and he looked at me innocently.

"I am not laughing," he said while putting one hand on his mouth. I tried to sit to tickle him, but again my head hit the bed, and I cursed under my breath, and Dee started laughing loudly. He crawled outside, and I followed him... {what a great mate and dee you had}. I received a message, and again Ryan’s name was flashing on the screen.

[Take care of Dee. I am giving you off today. Dad is with me in the office. You can resume all the work from tomorrow, and Reed wants Dee back at the hostel by tomorrow morning. The room in which Amara stayed is off limits (NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO ENTER THAT... NOT YOU, ALSO). I AM SERIOUS ABOUT IT.

After a few minutes, both of us were lying on the floor laughing when my mobile rang, and again Ryan’s name flashed on the screen.

"Who is it, addy?" Dee asked me, and I huffed.

"Ryan," he hummed and again hugged me. I answered the call.

"Hello," I said, and again he cleared his throat awkwardly. "Is this your way of saying hello?" I asked him, and he again cleared his throat.

"Uhh, no, I wanted to ask if you need something?" he asked me.

"I don’t think so. Is there anything that we should need?" I asked him back, and I already knew he should be shaking his head with a smile.

"Have you checked the fridge? Is there anything that you want? Few of the warriors are coming from knights to pack. If you need anything, then I can tell them to deliver things to you."

"No need, Ryan. If I need anything, I will go and get it myself."

"Ookkkk..." he said and again got silent... {Is there something he wanted to ask?} ... "no..what gives you that? No, I just called you to ask if you need some help. You know I thought that you were new to the pack and.." he was continuously blabbering shit which caused me to smile automatically... {it seems like I said that out loud and made him awkward}.

"Can I borrow books from your office?" As soon as I asked, he stopped his blabbering and took a deep relieving breath.

"Yeah, sure. Yeah, yeah, you can take it. Sure," he again started his nervous blabber.

"Ok then, I am hanging up now."

"Wait," he said suddenly, so I stopped.

"You didn’t hurt yourself much, did you?" he asked me, and I couldn’t help but roll my eyes at his stupidity... {Don’t fool yourself, you are smiling like an idiot}

"Is the big bad alpha concerned about my well-being? ’’ I teased him, and he again cleared his throat.

"Yes, Gary. Yeah, I have reviewed the file" I know that is acting because I neither heard any footsteps coming in his office nor the sound of the opening of the door. "I am hanging up the call," he said but didn’t cut the call, which automatically made my smile wider.

"Bye, Ryan. I am fine," I said and, with it, cut the call.

"You like him. Do you not?" Dee asked me, and I couldn’t help but nod.

"It is hard not to like him," Dee also nodded at my statement.

"Don’t be sad. He is just a phone call away," he said and patted my forehead with his little hands.

"Yeah yeah," I tried to roll my eyes but couldn’t help smiling at Dee’s cute face.

"Addy, I am hungry", He whined suddenly, and I smiled. Both of us went to the kitchen and first ate our chocolates, and then I made pasta for him. After eating our food, Dee needed to do his homework, so we both went to Ryan’s office. Dee started doing his homework while asking me questions in between, and I roamed all over the room to search for an interesting book. My gaze stopped on a very old-looking white book that grabbed my attention. I took it from the shelf "THE LEGEND OF WHITE WOLF AND THE CURSE ON MOON GODDESS"... {curse???.... that’s new... I have not heard anything like that even in the books that I have read in pack’s library too}
