He was precocious from birth. By the age of seven or eight, he already had some clear personal rules. However, during his five years at the Twin Immortals Sect, he hardly ever did anything willingly. So, after gaining his freedom, he strived to make sure everything he did aligned with his wishes and made him feel at peace. This wasn’t an easy task, but he enjoyed it immensely.
It’s true that he pursued immortality. But the immortality he sought, or rather, yearned for, was nothing like the ruthless and cruel immortality of the Twin Immortals, Zi Lei and Chi Yin. Nor was it the petty and sordid kind sought by the Sun Light Sect or the Thousand Spirit Gate.
Many times, he would do things that seemed inexplicable to others: unrelated to morality, unrelated to profit, unrelated to right or wrong, good or evil. There was only one sufficient reason behind all this: immortality encompasses all meaningful pursuits.
I have a mirror, reflecting the mountains and rivers of the universe;
I have a sword, cutting through the realms of human hearts and ghosts;
I have a city, seated among the clouds of the Nine Heavens;
I have a heart, smiling through the trials on the path to immortality.
Why do people seek immortality? Because immortality embraces all desires and signifies infinite possibilities.
“I was once killed by my previous lover.”

“If I were the one you met then, our life would have been a happy one now. There wouldn't be betrayal nor revange, because I would only shower you with love and a blissful life along with children born from the fruit of our love. You wouldn't have anything to worry about except who is courting your daughter in secret.”
A smile threatened to break apart Draven's lips at her words but he didn't smile and stared at her in silence.
Rhea waited to hear him say something, but even after minutes passed, he continued to stare at her with a blank unreadable expression. Rhea's patience ran thin, she took off her shoes and stepped into the pool. Without hesitation, she hooked her arms around his neck, she leaned forward and gently bit down on his lower lip. She stuck his lip in between her teeth playfully, then she used her tongue to seductively lick the lips, “You want me, don't you?” She whispered against his mouth and deliberately pressed her body against his naked body underwater.
Draven muffled a groan as he felt her body pressed against his aroused body. And without hesitation, he wrapped his arms around her and crushed his lips on hers in a hungry demanding kiss.
Before Rhea could lose control of herself in the kiss, she quickly pulled away before he deepened the kiss. “Stop,” she said breathlessly, “You have kissed me many times, you have seen my naked body underwater, you have held me to sleep on your bed. You have to take responsibility. Will you marry me?” She asked as she glanced up at his desire filled blue eyes.

“Do you know what we do to thief's here, Evanna?”
She placed her fork of meat down on the plate soundlessly, her attention still on the king. Evanna subconsciously held onto the knife still.
“No, your highness,” Evanna replied politely.
The king glanced at the prince, and she followed his gaze.
“We chop off their hands,” The prince finished.
Evanna watched and pulled her hand back in time for the prince's knife to slam into the table where her hand was placed. She gasped; another hand had been stabbed, sticking them to the wood.
A loud yelp sounded from behind her.
Within a flash, the prince stood up, pulled a sword out from his side, and swung it down on the man's wrist, dismembering the hand from his body. Blood squirted out and coated the table before her, along with her plate of food.
The man fell back, wailing and holding his wrist. Evanna watched in shock as the guards came forwards and dragged him away. She looked back at the prince, who was wiping his blade with a handkerchief nonchalantly before sheathing it.
Her attention was brought back to the king, who continued to eat as though nothing had happened.
“Just remember that the next time you wish to steal from us.” The king said lightly as he relaxed his cutlery and stared at Evanna, “You may be my son's new plaything, dressed up to look pretty, but do not fool yourself into thinking that he will release you once he is bored of you. You took something of great importance to him.”

Power comes with a cost... and it was something she was willing to trade her soul for.
A few nights before her wedding, Lauren sought a way to break her fourth engagement. Known for her bad reputation as the rebel princess, she was the only lady who had the guts to step foot on the Everston mansion, the house of a notorious warlord, in the middle of the night.
She offered him a wicked alliance that the entire kingdom did not see coming: a marriage.
A vixen pretending to be a damsel in distress and a man whose crimson eyes screaming for bloodshed. Could something blossom in this treacherous dance of lies and deception?

“Are you upset?”
She eyed him sharply. “Should I be honored that I got tricked by you, milord?”
He drank the remaining wine in his glass with one gulp and put it on the wooden table.
He stepped in front of her. His hand was on the rail on her side while his other hand grabbed her glass and finished her wine before putting it down.
The way his Adam's apple moved with his every violent gulp made her feel a tickling heat around her nape.
When he brought his attention back to her, he licked his lips to wipe off the trace of wine.
“How shall I make it up to you then?” he asked with his deep voice, like a seductive devil asking his victim how she would like to be killed. Dangerous yet… enthralling.

She hesitated, aware of his explosive temper and scared that he might turn on her if she told him that his so called girlfriend, Davina had slapped her for mistakenly dropping a glass. “Nobody, just an accident.” she replied, attempting to downplay the situation.
A humorless laugh escaped Neil's lips, his gray eyes ablaze with anger. “Nobody? You think I'll let someone get away with hurting you? Tell me, Harrison, or I swear I'll make it my mission to punish every single person in this goddamn building.”

The hearse with the weird odor slowed to a stop before the entrance. The sound of pebbles could be heard bouncing on the ceiling. There were footsteps coming from the corridor, and there seemed to be someone sawing next door. The door knob to the room rattled slightly, and the faucet in the bathroom kept dripping even though it had been screwed shut. There was a rubber ball that rolled on its own underneath the bed. Wet footsteps started to surface one after another on the floor. At 3 am, Chen Ge held a cleaver in his hand as he hid beside the room heater. It's pretty good. Its similar to novels like 48 Hours a Day, Weird Live Broadcast, Dreadful Radio Game, Hells Handbook etc.The actual different dreams/games(?) seem to be much shorter ones than some others in the above list, especially 48 hours. Whilst there are supernatural elements in the horrors there doesn't appear (at least yet) to be any powers for the survivors. No rewards or anything either yet. Based on the completion of the first story it seems to suggest that they are being transported in time to experience a supernatural version of an actual tragedy that happened, but that is based on a newspaper clipping MC brings with him from the dream. He doesn't look it up himself via other sources, so no clue if the newspaper is real or just a souvenir type thing from the dream.The MC himself is pretty different than usual as well. He's pretty mysterious and constantly lying about things, most of which is done in a dry, humorous way which helps break up the tension somewhat. He is clearly smart and cautious and doesn't seem to care that much about others at all. He seems to be a doctor/therapist maybe, but it's unclear what exactly he does. He jokes/lies about his identity and job in the first dream to protect himself, but even when we are shown him with a client after it, its still somewhat unclear.Its tough to judge this properly, given the lack of translated chapters available, but it seems to be a good mix so far. It doesn't appear the dreams will drag on forever like the pirate one did in 48 Hours and the MC doesn't become more idiotic in the real world like Hells Handbook, both of which are good signs. The MC being so mysterious even in real life helps things as well, since it gives you a reason to be interested in the real life part of the story, which is generally always a comparatively uninteresting part in these types of novels. I read this on mtl and it surprises me, although mc sometimes has plot armor like Stone, it's a Solid Rank BYn Yang, We will bring balance to these lands full of Chaos!!! COME, CONSTANTLY BRING BALANCE TO THIS PLAN!! FOr Me its more like a A- This novel, at least from the few chapters out now, seems to be in the horror/mystery genres. The main character travels to different planes/timelines and must solve mysteries to escape and return to the real world.A good novel, the only takeaway is the lack of foreshadowing. What makes a good mystery novels is tellingg certain irrelevant or small details about somethingAnd then later using those details to make your case. Author knows everything coz he planned it. But it blows the sock of a reader.The author here forgets to do thatBut still a great novel. Hope protagonist is actually smart and calm, I mean thats probably the whole point of the comedic undertone, but what is unlimited flow under events? Is it like the story wont end? Unlimited flow basically means that the story will be based on the character travelling from one world to another while usually they have to complete missions to survive. It's one of my favourite genres. Novels like Terror Infinity, 48 hours a day and My Divine Diary can be considered infinite flow I think. Other similar novels are Fantasy Simulator, Astral Apostle, Ultimate Evolution, Devil's Cage and maybe but not really I Have A Super USB Drive, Black Tech Internet Cafe System and Super Detective In The Fictional World. These are pretty much all the good ones I have read on this site. What happened to the previous 121 shadow eaters? They failed. In what and how? Damn it i need answers. They were arrogant in the MTL lands! Sigh, they should have at least tried to seek my help, my face is still worth something in the mtl lands. Oh well, i grew stronger that's good. Main character and current operative seem interesting and it's nice to have a split POV to see how they're both living outside of their interactions with one another. The power system is unique, but not super clearly explained (or not easy necessarily to understand) and it's very different to the regular cultivation novels I might read. Lots of potential and a good translation. I'm probably going to start on the MTL now and see how that feels to read! very interesting world background I'm on chapter 73 and everything indicates that this is a hidden gem. The book has more than 1000 chapters and from the author's way of writing it is clear that readers will discover the answers as they read. There will not be an internal dialogue paragraph in which the MC thinks about the specific power system or some solutions, generally the explanations will occur during conversations with other characters.Yes, all the characters so far are important, interesting and with personality, I can only say that I struck gold when I was looking for copper. Maybe I'll come back later for another review.Chapter 234 > I can say that this story is still very good, but the MC leaves me with conflicting feelings. As the MC himself says, he is indifferent to many things, he doesn't have a very big ambition, he really is similar to a spectator (Observer of the Apocalypse? haha) and that is a little frustrating. He almost always accepts things as they are, although I don't question it as much, there are times when it makes me angry, almost frustrated. In the chapter he is now linked to a contract that has a loophole that will turn him into a slave in 3 months, but he is very indifferent to this, he himself says that it makes no sense to suffer for something that will only happen in 101 days, but it should live the present. Anyway, his indifference irritates me, but the way it's happening I think he will have personality growth in the future. P.S: The best moments are the MC's interactions with the secondary characters, especially Sword Girl. Another example: The MC made it very clear that his biggest motivation for escaping from prison was Sword Girl, he wanted to fulfill his goals a little (I don't see him as simp) So in essence, not a simp but an indifferent useless simp. Got it #panic#The original language is Chinese, not Korean. Thanks! #panic#Where's the new chapters? NU still shows them as releasing daily. #panic#One more thing, there's 2 Chapter 83 and there's no Chapter 84. Have you seen the summary ? It's an honest mistake. I would have expected a Korean novel too with a summary so short. Is this good? should I read this? Try a few chapters, if it's not your cup of tea, just skip to another novel neh this is some good sht As much as people are saying good things about this novel. I'm 14 chapters in and we'll over 50% of those chapters are about a supposed game character that the mc is suppose to use to become stronger as the game character becomes stronger. Which isn't really happening. He's suppose to get 30% of the game characters strength, instead he gets a spirit of the character that talks to him, and so far there is no explanation on the system of power in this book even tho the system of power has been mentioned multiple times. In other words I'm completely confused on what's happening in this book and am only 14 chapter in. Same here, I'm in chapter 18 and still don't know what is happening with his power. The author does not immediately explain the power system or the circumstances. The idea is for the reader to read calmly to understand, because the MC has lost all his memories and is now someone else, so the reader ends up learning along with the MC.I'm on chapter 73 (MTL) and I'm already understanding a little about the power system, creation of spirits and other things. The book has more than 1300 chapters and apparently many mysteries. Enjoy.P.S: Regarding the character's spirit talking to him, SpoilerI can only assume that it is a spirit from an alternative reality, or perhaps this world has already suffered a regression and the MC losing his memories is a result of that. Everything is made clear that the character spirits are their older, updated or complete versions. Anyway, this is also one of the mysteries to be discovered. At 73 do have a little understanding(almost nothing?) or do you have an understanding of a small part of it? Guys, as this translator is new to this universe, let's give him a boost on the official website, leave some comments there and if you can, make a donation. We have to encourage new translators, as they are the ones fighting on the front lines against the demonic Dao of the MTL. Zara Hansley had always believed herself forsaken by the gods due to the terminal illness she was diagnosed with. Every doctor she visited had declared she would not live past her 23rd birthday.
Yet, when left with only a few months to live, Zara found out that the root of her illness was a curse, one which she could break. Just like that, she was given a new chance at life—she had to scour the earth for the cure in just a few short months or succumb to her fate.
Fate, however, was a funny thing—it brought her to a stranger that would alter the course of her life forever, and his life by her.
Born to an ancient family, Amir Frostcrown was cursed to bring misfortune to any female around him. Not only that, he was able to hear the thoughts of others, thus further drawing a line between him and other ordinary folk. As such, while these abilities amassed him an enormous wealth over the years, he was destined to live a loveless life of solitude.
That all changed when his and Zara’s paths crossed. As someone that was completely unaffected by his curses and abilities, Amir Frostcrown was immediately intrigued by this dying girl.
One dream, one vow, and two curses. That was all it took for Zara to tumble from the world of reality into fantasy. Would she be able to find her cure in time? When secrets are revealed, would Zara and Amir Frostcrown stand the test of time?

“We were fated to be from the beginning!” he amusedly declared as he looked at her dotingly, eyes sparkling and only her image visible in his blue eyes.
“I don’t believe in fate!” Zara mumbled softly as she looked to the ground, afraid of facing him and the undeniable truth he spoke of.
“But don’t you see?” Amir asked. “Isn’t fate what led us to this very moment?”
“He knew he should not go easy on her, but his heart is challenging his mind…”

Excerpt:
“Leaving already? You seem to be in such a rush to talk to me. Why don't you spill it out now?”
Stunned, Arya wondered if she was hallucinating. The voice was very familiar. The man's arm encircled her waist, abruptly pulled her towards him. He then leaned forward and scornfully whispered into her ear, “Aren't you here to negotiate? I was hoping you had a better offer.”
She tilted her head to look up at the rude man and was left open-mouthed looking at a familiar face. She was shocked but mumbled, “Ryu?”
Ryu smirked and stared at Arya's slightly opened lips and said, “Did you miss me? How about this?”
Before Arya could utter another word, Ryu captured her lips abruptly and kissed her roughly.
